When Mary Russo Rau was a little kid selling lemonade in front of her parent’s home, she knew she enjoyed talking with people. Whether it was the interaction, the connection, or the $4.25 she had in her pocket at the end of the day, Rau enjoyed the journey. For her, there was something incredible in the discovery of the unique stories that separate one person from another. As a result, Rau became a storyteller in her own way.
As a research-based content writer at Twenty20 Marketing, Rau works closely with clients exploring the who, what, where, when, and why of their businesses incorporating keyword strategies in support of SEO and digital marketing.
Having worked in advertising, marketing, and public relations most of her professional career, Rau carries that diverse experience within the industry forward. With creativity, a positive attitude, and the skill set of a wordsmith, she enjoys learning new things and dives right into new projects.
Rau graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida with a BA in Business and a minor in Political Science. She is active in her community and is involved with the local Wood River Valley Chamber of Commerce. She participates in 3 local artist associations in support of her husband. Also, Rau supports the National Association of Mental Illness – Wood River and The Senior Connection. She is on the board of The Matthew Wright Foundation.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Rau is a big city girl living in the IDAHO mountains. She and her artist husband of 25 years are empty nesters – hopefully, the kids will remain grown and flown – who are enjoying the company of their two dogs. Rau is an avid reader, enjoys family and friends, and values meaningful connections.
